Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (this “EULA”) form a binding agreement between you and Greensbook governing your access to and use of the Greensbook iOS app, the greensbook.app website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Greensbook is a private pick'em game for golf groups. Players join an event hosted by another user, predict outcomes across each round, and accumulate points based on correct picks.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Greensbook. The Service is currently available only in the United States.

Your Account

You sign in to Greensbook using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for safeguarding access to the identity provider you sign in with. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen; deletion removes your personal data per our Privacy Policy.

Host Subscription

Playing is always free. The optional Host subscription unlocks the ability to create and manage events. Host subscriptions are sold either through Apple In-App Purchase (auto-renewable, processed by Apple) or via Stripe Checkout on greensbook.app. Pricing is shown in the app at the point of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can cancel an Apple IAP subscription in iOS Settings → App Store → Subscriptions. You can manage a web subscription from the Account screen or via the Stripe Customer Portal.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to manipulate or exploit game mechanics
• Harass or abuse other users
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, except as expressly permitted by law

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (display name, handicap index, picks). You grant Greensbook a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and use that content as needed to operate the Service. Other event members can see your picks and standings within events you join.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Subscriptions remain governed by the cancellation rules of the processor (Apple or Stripe) at the time of cancellation.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREENSBOOK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Apple-Specific Terms

If you accessed the app via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that this EULA is between you and Greensbook only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce this EULA against you. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the applicable purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
